Thumbs up 1970 Cobalt and Donzi Articles - Interesting Read...

Have discussed these two interesting back to back (p.27 - 29 and p.30 - 32) articles from March 1970 Powerboat magazine before. Figured all here would find them interesting. As previously discussed, since the Cobalt was a copy, the company maintains they don't have any more printed material about the boats (although they did, to my surprise, put a picture of one in their 2002 catalog).

I felt I was fortunate to find these articles. The Powerboat mag. folks searched for the issue upon my request. When they found it, they said they only had one issue left. Pretty cool! Both articles have a lot of cool info. about the boats and Holman Moody Marine; just wish they were in color. These scans are from xerox copies, but even the original articles were in black and white.

Very cool, Craig! My buddy has the Cobalt version of Donzi's Corsican...been sitting in a barn for about 10 years.

    Thumbs up

Thanks guys; glad you enjoyed it.
Tony - I remember discussing your friend's boat several times previously. I have a few pictures you mailed me. Why doesn't he get that hummer out and run it ? As I recall you said he was a dentist. Guess he's too busy.
By the way- I've sat and stared at the blinking image that is part of your Avatar image (above your boat) and can't figure out what the chrome thing is. The winged wheel stays longer, but the chrome thing flashes too fast. What the heck is it? It looks like a chrome car transmission housing!
