Edit 6-8-13: The article attached is from Powerboat Magazine's January 1996 issue and reports that What's Instore won the 1995 Championships. This would confirm that the first Warlock 29's were actually Ultimate Warlock 29's and were built sometime during 1995 right about when Tom Stolarz sold Team Warlock to Carter Reed. That first hull did not have the Serpentine Step and was a pad bottom 24 degree V. If you look closely at the photo you see there is no step on What's Instore.

This Ultimate Warlock 29 World Class race boat has now been re-classified as "built in 1994". That solves the mystery of when the first hulls were built. Carter Reed started the Ultimate Warlock line with the 29 footer. The deck actually offers less cabin room than the 27 foot model. It was a low deck race design. This 1994 would be the very first 29 built for APBA race duty. Light layup, cored hull, and extra bulkheads. The very first 29s do not have the step or the pad, that came later. The seller has had this for sale for a year now and just dropped his price to .......... $29,500

    Description:
This 29 world class was built in 1994 to be Warlock's first A-1 class race boat. Her blue printed hull is balsa core and vacuum bagged, is super light non production model. She has had a recent interior job to make her a luxury go fast. In 2013 a new 540ci 629hp-612trk on dyno, hood scoop, Imco dual ram steering system, upgraded bravo drive and a 5 blade prop. She has hit 83mph and could do more with perfect conditions. The stereo has 3 JL amps, 2 13in subs, 6 focal speakers, to rock your brains. She is truly a one of a kind, a must see, needs nothing, turn key. I have more pictures if you inquire. Will Consider Trade Plus Cash for a Motorcycle/Car/Truck

It's raining Warlock 29 footers. Here is another one with a 502. The seller can't decide if he wants $35,000 or $30,000 his 2000.

Yes, and all of the disclaimers which I pointed out on that thread. I would never buy a used boat from Shogren.

Shogren is slim ball company. They advertised my boat at 50hrs. I "thought" I could trust that they verified the hours being as they were a large company. My mistake. I checked the computer when I got it and it had 176hrs.
Literally a 5 minute job for them to verify hours on the computer, so I'm fairly confident Shogren knew the exact hours when they sold it.
Boat even had a hour meter on the engine that read 76hrs (which I suspect was installed with the S/C), so they knew they were lying when advertising 50hrs.
Why is faster never fast enough.

I'm afraid they've gone downhill along with Pier 57, which Shogren took over. Sad.
