I love the tunnel effect the faster it goes.
machinist ,bore it deeper, ream it bigger, and lap it to a fine finish

Ya gotta love how the engines continue to spool up throughout the whole run.

This is information I "lifted" from the original video poster.

    Description updated 4/7/08

Ok people!!!! I'm really weary of those who are opining that don't know $hit about these boats or boating in general!!! Here are the FACTS!!!!

Barcardi Silver: 36' Skater powered by twin Sterling 1550hp engines mated to Mercury racing #6 outdrives. This is a SANCTIONED SBI event in Savannah Ga. The boat's speed is measured over a Kilometer, hence the "Kilo" reference in the sport. This pass averaged 202.907MPH!!!! No BS!!! No one else was on the river, no laws were broken and all safety precautions were taken as per SBI rules. David Scott was on the wheel and John Tomlinson was on the throttles. Both of these people I have met and talked to about this run. He was going 180 when he turned the wheel to line up the boat for the final sprint!!! If you're having trouble understanding the speed attained here, please see Dave's website at this link

http://www.nautiboats.com/Record%20Br... scroll to the 6th boat down.

Also you can go to this link:

http://www.nautiboats.com/ to check out the team and their new boats.

I really didn't think this video would cause so much commotion about its actual speed. But, YES it is really going almost 203 mph and the Callan Racing Mystic topped 210 mph!!!! So there is a faster one out there, but the team now owns a Mystic as well, so we'll see. Take the time and Google these names/products and LEARN before you put down something ignorant in the 'Comment' column. I don't want to have to turn off 'Comments" but there's only so much I can take.

    Enjoy the video!
