1965 Formula Jr Project (not mine)

I wanted to buy this Jr myself however, the cost of shipping/duty/taxes to Canada is too great for me to make sense.

This is a very early Formula Jr. ( touted to be hull #2) and it is located on Key Largo FLA. The sale is time sensitive as the house where the boat is located, is being sold and the boat needs to move. Apparently the original hardware is all there, just missing engine

    Asking price is $ 500

I wish I could have sealed this deal but, I pass it on to this community as there may be someone closer who can make the numbers work and save this boat.... OR ship it to me in Canada as a birthday present

To be totally honest, I'm not sure exactly what we need at this exact moment. I have recovery and storage in FLA set for the time being...courtesy of a very generous community member. I'm still working on a northward bound shipping plan.

Once home I'll need loads of help with many aspects of this boats rehabilitation
I so appreciate all the help!!!!

Hi. I have a question on the Formula Jr. We have a 1965 Formula Jr that needs restoration work and we want to sell it. I notice
you have a 1965 Formula Jr. (Hull #2). How do you find out what the hull number is. If I remember correctly, my uncle got this boat
when they first came out. He had a marina in Chicago for years and even raced this boat. He then sold it to my parents and we
did have a blast growing up riding in this boat.
    Thanks for any info.
    Debbie

I bought my boat in Florida from a person known to be in the marine industry for many years. He got the boat over 35 years ago from someone that was a Formula employee and owned it since new.

In your case, there may be markings inside the boat on some surfaces (possibly behind the dash on the Starboard side) made with permanent marker and under a layer of fiberglass. There should also be a plate in the transom with a serial # that looks like the ones attached.
