    For Posterity.

Donzi 18 2+3 Barrelback This is an original 1967 boat on a 1999 trailer.

Holmon / Moody IO. All correct badges and hardware.

    No aftermarket garbage anywhere.

Chrysler 360 CI engine. Spare outdrive ; transom assembly. Custom Bronze prop and standard Alum prop.

This 50 year old boat has all original gel coat and still shines, and yes it does have crazing.

The fuel tank has been changes to aluminum so no ethanol issues.

Has 2 covers. If you can appreciate an original speed boat from the founder of go fast, give me a call.

Serious only please. I think the price is fair, but I can not use the boat anymore. Thanks. Dave 203 Four one five 4172

Howdy. I am not the owner. I simply put the information from the ad onto this thread. I don’t know anything g about the boat.

Sorry. The guy listed his phone number at the bottom of the ad. Give him a call.

----Not sure I understand the Holman Moody badges and hardware comment with a Chrysler 360 engine unless it has either been re-powered or had a badge change. Nice barrel back in any event!......Bill S

Don't know about the 360 part but my 19 originally came with a 318 and a Volvo 270 that was badged up with H/M tags. Same exhaust manifolds and a 360 is an easy swap for the 318.

motor not original the HM badge on the shift cover may be original the drive may be may be not the aq volvo was used by chrysler and HM and some other marine mfgr's .

the 360 was caller the super bee I think and is a 1971 motor mopar power was used from the factory but later in the 1970s chrysler even had their own outdrive besides the volvo

    regardless a very nice example

The Chrysler powered boats of that era that I saw had the Volvo outdive tag changed to say 'Chrysler'.
In this particular boat I believe that somewhere along the line maybe the owner had to replace the cover plate due to a loss of the original one OR the boat was originally a H/M powered boat that had a Chrysler dropped in as a replacement .

Of course I could be totally wrong . I was once before

H/M made drive packages for production boats and yes some were Chrysler to Volvos and yes at least one was in a Donzi because I bought the 11 inch flywheel from them when they converter to Chevy many years ago. They (H/M) bought most of it and slapped their name on anything they did, like changing things to marine like the water pump, dist, carb, etc, etc. They all had H/M tags on them. Usually just little stamped tin tags that attached at the bolt holes. But they also tagged the transom shield and drive. Got to get the name out and having their tags on your boat made it look fast. lol. Even though I have a different transom shield now and have gone from Chrysler small block to BBC I put the tag back on that came with the original set up.

As for this boat its more then likely came with a 318 and then someone swapped it out with a 360 (what I did at one point) being the 360 wasn't released until 1971.
Sure would like to have that shift cover though.
