    New purchase 1984 donzi 22'

Hello to all ,I recently purchased a special order 1984 donzi 22' .this boat was listed on Craigslist here in New York .i also saw it posted with the Craigslist link here on the forums .the boat belonged to the ford family.its got the original TRS 454/400hp setup in it .seems like there isn't a lot of info out there on this particular motor .i got the build sheet on the boat ,I was wondering if someone could shed some light on how many 22's in 84' were built with this engine and drive package? Was it a popular setup?.thanks chris

Not many a couple to a few. The Ford family had several Donzi they had a criterion in the same color lay out it is restored and in Mi now. The 330 was more popular as a power option. It may make sense to scrap the trs and 400 and go modern merc boat is going to need a full resto most likely may as well modernize it

It's always fun to have something with a somewhat different provenance .

Like Matty said , full re-do . And do it right !

A family friend, Chip Miller restored one like that. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCW1cZLuREI
Chip's a wealth of knowledge and I'll bet he'd be glad to give you some good tips.
