Need tabs? Smokin' deal on OSO

I don't usually post other people's ads, but I came across a killer deal for tabs on OSO and there's always someone around here looking for tabs.
I know this should be in the "parts" section, but not everyone looks there and I'd like to see someone here snap them up.

A brand new, never used, complete set of Dana 1000's for only $1100. That's an insane deal.
He may also have sets of the 750's for less.

Why is faster never fast enough.

Is there a general "field experience" on tabs for an 18? I expect I would really only use them when I am with L/R passenger weight differences....

    Got my tabs

I got my tabs a week or so ago. Time to disassemble them and get them powder coated and rebuild the cylinders. The put them back together and test them to see what needs to be replaced. And then get them on the boat.

For not too much scratch, you can get a stainless steel replacement for the trim pump bracket. Those things rust so fast (mine started within 2 seasons) that I swapped it rather than re-painting.

Also, there are some SST brackets that have tabs fabbed into the center section so that
the "ears" can be cut off, and it's much neater. The solenoids can be mounted to a bracket
that's attached to the side of the motor. These solenoid brackets are still available from
    Merc for $20.00 or so.
This really makes a neater package.
BTW, this is a high end acrylic/polyurethane paint.

Like everything you do George, those look awesome.

I get the friends and family price on powder coating so everything will be PC, but I like the idea of the stainless pump brackets. The current brackets are in good shape but I was going to strip them and powder coat them.

The next question is should the tabs be black or blue to match the boat? I'm leaning towards black.

Sean look at a Mercruiser microfiche from one of the Mercruiser suppliers from let's say 1985 and then go to the hydraulic section and then the pump and you'll see the bracket for the side of the motor

It now says they are NLA....
But if you were to shop arouund, you may find some.
Actually, they wouldn't be hard to fabricate.
