    Thunderflash

I thought you would like to see some pictures of "Thunderflash". This boat was designed by Walt Walters in '63 for Tommy Sopwith and funded by Dick Wilkins.
This boat competed in the Paris six hours as well as Rouen and other races around South England and Cornwall.
It was built at W.A. Souter on The Isle of Wight. This is the same builder that crafted Hugh Doyle's World beating "Ghost Rider" also designed by Walt.
These recent pics were taken at the Royal Motor Yacht Club in Poole England. Home of the Needles Trophy as well as the prestigious Harmsworth Trophy.

Yes, nice of Mike to take on the project and do the ol' girl justice.

It's good to keep in touch on the other side of the pond...

I thought my 19' Nova had a big gas tank (60 gal).

    Pretty boat.

To me, the front half says Ski Sporter, the back half says FJ.

    Nice piece of history.
