    Need Donzi experts

I need some help finding the VIN number on a older 2 plus 3. There are no numbers on the transom. Did Donzi stamp them somewhere else on the early models?

Look under the deck for anything written in felt marker...or on the bow eye block...or behind the dash

Also look under the lip of where the deck meets the hull at the upper right stern. It could be stamped there.

If older than November 1972, there will be no HIN stamp.

As Rob stated, there may be a felt marker # on the underside of the deck, the back of the instrument panel or the back/inside of the bow eye.

    Pictures/engine/drive specs would help.

I will see if I can get a picture for you guys. The boat has a Chris Craft small block chevy with Corvette valve covers. It has a volvo drive on it. Have not been able to check your suggestions yet.

Based on the engine setup it sounds like a 72-75 era. Check under the transom deck lip first. You will be able to feel the imprint of the numbers.
