It's a pretty easy job as long as some clown didn't put them on with 5200. Put a piece of wood in them and rock them loose. I like to use 4200 sealant but some use silicone. I bought mine used so can't help with brand. You're gonna love the sound!

As I've always said . The 'other' invention of the devil . The most inappropriate and over used stuff around for 99% of all sealing jobs done on boats .
Just because something's old doesn't mean you throw it away !

slash tips by far look the best but if you use the back of the boat a lot like swimming and getting back on they are THE sharpest and will draw blood
When the sky is grey, look out to sea.
When the waves are high and the light is dying,
well raise a glass and think of me...
    When I'm home again,
    boys, I'll be buying!

    Matty's correct, be careful.
But one thing to consider is once you install them you can no longer attach any clamp on mufflers. The exhaust noise is cool, for awhile, but is quickly tiring. You'll just wish you could tone it down a bit. Women in the back seat really don't like it.
Another thing to consider is install gaskets on the transom. They'really readily available. Having gaskets makes changing exhaust hoses a lot easier because the tips are easily removeable.

If you really want to go loud, get "Dry Offshores". Mine are Gils and Hardin Marine bought them out. The entire pipe goes through the transom.

Use 4200 removable adhesive/sealant with no gasket. Silicone seems to be an option but I like 4200.

You could easily cut your own gaskets out of rubber. An old tire tube would work, if you can find one.
Why is faster never fast enough.

Make sure every hole is sealed if you are going to rely just on a gasket.

    Jim, here's your gaskets:

Don't worry about the gaskets sealing, they do just fine.
