Electric hydraulic steering on the 16

Well finally got the new hoses installed to replace the tubing, bled the system and tried in out.
Much quieter and I can turn the wheel with one finger.
Headed out to the lake this afternoon so see how the steering is under torque
    YUP YOU GUESSED IT
The engine starts right up and then stalls right away. Tried 30 times
Has 9 lbs pressure but unless you keep pumping the throttle it just stalls.
Will have to wait until April now.. Carb is coming apart on the weekend..Ed

At least congratulations on getting it installed and working.

Think I may have found the problem.
The engine had a 1" aluminum carb spacer and my new air filter would not fit.
Put in a 1/2" plastic spacer that is not solid on the bottom. It only has a 1/8"
Base. The gasket is very thin. I am going to put the original spacer back on and get a thicker gasket. If that solves the problem then it is the spacer.
I will go to Robs shop and machine a solid 1/2" aluminum spacer..Ed

I think you are onto something. That engine is as solid as anything out there.
