    Magnum 25 Sport

I have a 1973 Magnum 25 Sport that needs a new home. I sold this boat back in 1998 and the new owner removed on of the Volvo AQ170 B motors to have it rebuilt. It never happened and now I have the boat back. Minus the engine. The boat was stored outside in Illinois and the all the interior pieces are dead and gone. The Hull appears to be in very good shape, very dirty but solid. It has a Calkins roller trailer. If anyone has any interest in it please let me know.

Any pictures? I believe that 25 Sports are tough to come by. Could be a great project.

I will try to get some pictures to post. I'm in Naples and the boat is in Long Grove Illinois. It is a though old boat. No stress cracks anywhere! With the old inline 6 motors the boat was not as mistreated as my Donzi's and Maltese, (not as much "airtime" if you know what I mean.)

I'm really just looking for a good home. If I could get a few hundred dollers that would be great.

Pictures would be good... it sounds like a great project boat!

My daughter is going to get some pictures for me to add. The boat was really nice when I sold it in the late 90's. It was a twin engine model with the sunpad on the engine hatch. All of the interior is beyound dead. It had the Volvo inline 6 motors so tinkering with the motors was a breeze! She also has Bennet trim tabs. Overall she is very original. Danforth Compass, Morse controlls Volvo 270 Drives. The trailer has been on blocks since the boat was stored so the bearings should still be ok. Tires...maypop.
I hope to have some pictures by the end of the week. If not, I may be up there in a few weeks to bring the Donzi down and I will update this post then.

Not too long ago I saw pics of a 25 that was for sale . A twin l-6 Volvo boat if I recall correctly . It was all white with a gold bootstripe . Is that the one you're talking about ?

As a '73 25 owner myself I can attest to how well they were built and if you can find one that has been minimally molested , go for it . The ride is amazing !

I love what you did with your boat. This is not the gold one. It was my boat from 1988 until 1998.

Wow. Very nice to get it to a good home for restoration. As a data point there is one with a single for sale now for $25k
