    16 OB Weight???

Gentlemen, just looking for a link to weights of a 16 OB, I understand it will vary as per engine installed but round numbers would work. Assume dry tank. I have a boom that can pick 2500 lbs on my other boat and thought it would be cool to carry around a 16 ob (or two). I thought there was a spec link here somewhere but I can't find it. Also were there any 18 OB's made? That would fit as well but I don't think I've ever seen one. Thanks.

according to the catalog from 1970 the weight is 1050. Go to the Archives and look at the 1970-1972 catalog.

I put the hull and the deck of my second 16 OB on an electronic 2000lb scale. The hull weighed in at 698lbs. Then we did the deck and it came in at 409lbs. So the weight totally unrigged, no interior and without the gas tank is 1107lbs. Hope that helps.

    Thank You

All of this is very helpful....now I need to research the Evinrude catalog!!!! How about horse power since we are on the subject. I don't need anything super wild but I think I saw some with OB's in the 150-200 range? Will be looking to purchase sometime this winter if all goes to plan (like that's ever happened)....if anyone out there knows of an OB for sale?
