40th Anniversary 16 for sale (not mine)

    http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/2005...a#.Vig1_zeFNwU

The ad is a little short on specifics, but seems like a good price.

    I've always liked the orange.

I thought the 40's were all yellow. Did they make 18's in orange too ?

Most 40th boats (primarily 22s) were yellow.

    I think they made about 40 22s.
Almost all were yellow, but I'm aware of at least on red one.

    I think they made 11 18s.
Most were yellow, at least one was beige and just one (hull #7, mine) was light blue.

    I think they made just 3 16s.
To the best of my knowledge, orange was only used on the 16's.

I'm pretty sure the Port Carling boat is this one:

    I like the orange

When I think of Donzi Classics, I think most I have seen have been Red with Yellow a distant second...

The Orange works for me though...

I've got a friend with a red 18 Classic splash, Tonzi maybe? Anyway, he's thinking of selling and I have had thoughts of buying, repowering, and painting it orange...
    Thank you, Patrick

    That orange 16 is cool
I wonder how much work to bring it back to the U.S. Looks like it's in Ontario

2+3 seating is a big bonus

I'd favor an 18 over a 16 if for nothing else the 2+3 seating.

2+3 seating makes that orange boat vary desirable IMHO.
    Thank you, Patrick

Why aren't the fuel fills on the same side?

Don't know but either side is better than the middle

The Blue boat obviously belongs to a democrat..hence the fuel fill on the left DJ

    Ha!
The owner of the blue boat is technically a registered Independent (albeit in a very blue state).

My old Ski Sporter was center fill and it was never really a problem.
The side fill is, of course, more convenient on the trailer at the gas pump.
But 90% of my fill ups are on the water and center or side gas caps are an easy reach.

Left, Right, Center - it's all good.
    Just don't be a hater

Back on topic: If I were looking for a nice, clean and unique 16 at a very good price (IMO) - the orange boat would be on my shortest list.

I looked long and hard at that boat!
It was for sale about 2 miles from my house.......and was in a 9++ condition.
    The Number was #001.

    And it was YELLOW.

If it was an 18 I would have dropped my card on them right then and there!
