That is my old boat, I have a 2007 Donzi 22 Classic Shelby GT I am selling now. Do you still have the yellow matching truck?

I absolutely love the 40th Anniversary. I wish I could justify this purchase, but I'm just worried about another older engine. (See my post in the Performance section)

You can always have a mechanic inspect the engine. And, there may be a history of the boat here on the registry. All boats require some maintenance and an inspection should tell you what you need to know. It becomes a calculated risk. Do a search on the threads and you will probably find a check list of things to look for. If your love the 40th anniversary additions don't let the age scare you. I've owned 40 year old boats that were great and 5 year old ones that had all kinds of problems. Regardless of the problem, if it's made by the hands of man if can be fixed by the hands of man.

If you are serious about this boat check the deck of the boat it has spyder cracking in the gel coat, not sure if he fixed that or not. Ask him if he still has my plate for my trailer that he never returned!

Thanks DonziZX. I would definitely check it out in person... it's only 5 hours away... and I'd ask for the license plate return to be part of the deal

sidebar: hope you don't owe the state a kabillion in fines for not returning a plate

I am definitely interested in the boat... but we would have to discuss that price quite a bit.

I had been watching a great looking 22ft 40th Anniversary down in Florida that just sold for $29,000. Appeared to be in the same condition as this one. That's what I figured it would go for.

The FL boat was a fresh water boat with about 240 hours on it. No trailer included.

The two 40th Anniversarys that are for sale near me now are at $40,000. Considering the research I've done, and considering one without a trailer sold in Florida last week for $29,000.... those prices are too high for an 11 year old Classic. These aren't Shelbys with upgraded features... they are just cool looking Yellow Donzi's that have 40th Anniversary written in a few places.

I will wait around until I find one for around $30,000... (or until one of these guys decides to let it go for a fair price).

I think I'm just going to go ahead and have my mechanic build the 496 he has and put that in my red donzi. I could make the entire boat cosmetically perfect for under $2000. The one thing I like about the red donzi, is that it looks good with an American flag flying in the back!

Happy 4th of July Weekend Everyone.

I've called a few times over he past 2.5 weeks and haven't heard back from the seller. I left a message on his cell and left a few messages at his office. Last week he texted me saying he was sorry he hadn't called me back and would call the next morning, but he never did.

You may have to be persistent to reach him.

I'm looking for a nice 22. This boat has been on the market I believe since June ?

a lot of these boats sit around on all different websites for a long time. I don't understand . I sell cars and the goal is to move inventory not open a museum.

    there are buyers at 30-35,
