    Freshly Rebuilt Ron Potter 700's

Finally got some pics of the fresh rebuilds and cleaned up rigging Ron Potter did over the summer.

    Wow

One of those would sink my boat!
I have far too many boats, just ask my Wife.

    Nicely Done!

Did those start life as Merc 575 or 600? What changed to turn them into 700s?
    Thank you, Patrick

Yes, they were originally 575's. Ron converted them to a roller cam, head and intake work, remapped computer, and a bunch of other stuff. They pull like a bear, sound awesome and are very docile at idle.

I was going to custom paint them red to match the boat but decided I like the contrast of the Merc blue and it will be an easier resale down the road.... but that will probably never happen!

    The boat or engines?

The boat is a 38 Zr Competition.

The engines are built up Mercury Racing 575's (502 cubic inch blocks) making 700hp and 700 ft/lb torque.
