    Make them yourself

You can make them yourself it not that hard. I ordered a 12x12 piece of SS mesh from McMaster Carr the material is very sturdy and looks nice.

    agreed

I made mine and quiet easily. Rough cut, trim, remove vent, insert in channel, trim, replace vent shell screw down and done. I used black screen. Matched really well.
    Thanx,

Just go to Fazzios on the Wall circle and get a 12x12 piece from them. I used 5 minute clear epoxy to secure all of mine in on all of the restorations that I have done and they have help up great witout an issue. Trust me...this is a lot cheaper than going elsewhere. If you need a hand cutting and fitting them come on over and we can do it in about an hour...and have some beers!

I'm definitely going to do that on the Corsican! What model # is the mesh that you used, it looks perfect.

    12x12 course mesh

    Skippy,
Sorry I was away for the weekend, I used McMaster Carr 12x12 course mesh SS 304 or 316 that is commonly used to make strainers, filter screens, and sieves. I will look it up and confirm, material is tuff to trim however I found it fits much better in the groove than the thin gauge. I purchased a pair of scissors from Harbor Freight that is designed to cut stuff like this and it cut the material very well. The material came delivered with a very straight edge, since my vents did not have screens installed I made a cardboard template and laid it out starting at the straight cut. If you look carefully at the picture the edge that lays against the deck is the factory cut line. When I was done they fit so well I did not need to use any adhesive. They have been on the boat for about 5 years now and look like the day I installed them.

    Skippy,
As promised see the attached spec sheet for the material and a picture of the cutters I used. Shoot me a pm with your mailing address I will send you what I have there should be enough to make (5) five. The extra one is to get a feel for how it will fit up and also get a feel for cutting and playing around with the fit.
