    Bert,
I know to each their own but whom ever did that boat they ruined it in my opinion. There is nothing remotely nice about that look at all. Everything that gives these classic boats that classic look is gone.

the boat I am referring to is the boat seen in the baby Flyer and is a Donzi built in the 60's volvo powered.

the coca cola boat is a cigarette??? what is the HIN ??????? a lot of work has been done to it is the helm position original or is modified

That boat was stolen in May of 09 in Miami never to be found. The owner then committed suicide (not because his Baby was stolen). This was a Baby Cigarette, one of three. But I believe only two had CRT HIN numbers.

Here is a direct quote from the builder whom worked at Cigarette (not Byng Goode)

This is the boat I built at cigarette for Aronow, there was only one , we sold it to Irwin Feiner (deceased)and shipped it to New York , Billy Horn (deceased) contacted me in 04 to rebuild the boat and sent it from Freeport , New York to me to rebuild I finished the project in 05 and shipped it to Miami where he was living, The boat was stolen in may of 09 and I was contacted by several law enforcement agency's and insurance company investigators. That is all I know and remember.

So, keep your eyes out for the hull. My guess was that they were afrer the drive and engine. It was not a 4 cylinder.

pretty vague info besides the names . would need to confirm original setup and original build dates

Pearson's cig 14 has no imprinted hull or affixed HIN badge it was given a valid Cigarette racing team HIN on it's title when it was sold sometime in 1977. The reason for this was the boat was popped from the mould at Donzi around 1967 5 years before the term and the practice of HINs were mandated by the USCG. your boat was popped a year later in 1978 and had a HIN embredded in the transom if this boat was built at cigarette in that time frame it should have a HIN.

that cig doesn't have a split hatch and has so much resto/mod work done to it it would be hard to tell if that helm location is original what was the engine drive combo if it wasn't a 4 cyl and an alpha??

Hence the fax scoop and one piece hatch. The flame arrester is sitting in that scoop.

I am confused which is not surprising when you post . If the cigarettes didn't have split hatches why bring them into the conversation?

You quoted my post mentioning the very rare split hatch left hand helm baby Donzi so what does a cigarette have to do with it?

the split hatches were not all renault's they had them on an omc and a volvo powered boats as well again see the pic I posted from the flyer .

If Cig did make a LH helm 14 wonder what they used for the power drive combo?

Ok...Some updated pictures of this restoration. I really have not worked on it all summer due to redoing my entire outside of the exterior of my home. So now I'm back on this amazing boat and we plan on debuting it at the 2016 Dust-Off.

I’m onto the wiring now and will be post pictures of that as well.

So stay tuned to more pictures!
