Is this a stock 502 oil pan?

I'm getting close to firing my engine but I don't know if I overfilled with oil or not.
I have at least 8 qts of oil in the pan, but it's just barely registering on the dipstick.

Does anyone know if this is a stock 502 oil pan, or is it oversized?

Here are two photos of my pan. 1997 502. Starboard side looks the same. Port photo has a lot of crap in the way.

(old photos, before the rebuild )

I don't know if it's of any help to you , but our stock 502mpi only takes about 7 qts to be at the 'max' position on the dipstick.

You could well have an oversized pan OR a 'shortie' dipstick .

I seem to have misplaced, or lost, my dipstick. I couldn't seem to find anything that came close to doing the job, so I bought another that was obviously much too long.
I stuck it down the tube to determine how much too long it was and shortened it to fit. Of course I lost all the markings which wouldn't have been correct anyway. I started out by adding 4 qts. to the empty pan (which is smaller than yours) and made a mark w/a file at the oil level. Then I added two more quarts, one at a time, and made more marks. This is pretty easy to do and should give some confidence.

Looks stock to me. All of my 502's have looked just like that.

    Thanks for the responses.

Tidbarts exact pan and dipstick/tube is exactly what I have.
My only guess is, I may be able to push the tube further into the rubber hose connected to the pan.
