    1981 Donzi Hornet for Sale- She needs a good home

    Unfortunately, the time has come to sell my 1981 Hornet. This was a project boat that me and my uncle worked on over the years. We modernized it with a 2+3 seat layout. Modern gauges and controls. My uncle had just built and installed a Chevy small block in the Hornet last October. Unfortunately he had a sudden heart attack a couple weeks later and passed away. I have not had the time with work and life in general to use the boat and it needs a good home and an owner that can run it and keep this bit of Donzi History alive. Here are some of the basic features.

    1981 Donzi Hornet
    HIN# DMR200691281
    DMR= Donzi Marine
    20= 20 Ft
    069= Hull Number 69
    12= Built in December
    81= 1981

    Freshly Built Chevy 350 Small Block, Bored 30 Over, Edelbrock Aluminum Intake, Edelbrock Competition Carb, 8 qt. Aluminum Racing oil Pan
    1:1 Borg Warner Transmission
    1.5: 1 TRS II Stern Drive (LH) with bullet nose lower unit and outdrive cooling shower
    S.S. Exhaust tips, S.S. (LH) Prop, S.S. Water Pick-up
    Automatic Fire Suppression System
    Racing Seawater Strainer
    Hydraulic Steering
    Authentic Donzi Seats and Cushions by Premier Performance Interiors, Sarasota Florida (941-752-6271)
    Gaffrig gauges and controls in a custom powder coated dash.
    CD player with removable face, Marine Subwoofer, amplifier, and speakers.
    Flush mount cleats.
    Depth Finder, Air Blowers in Engine Compartment, Blige pump.

    The boat has sat covered on the trailer since my uncle's passing and both batteries are dead. I am in the process of seeing if they will take a charge and plan on trying to get her cranked up in the next week or so.
    I am asking $9000.00 OBO. I will attach some pics. The boat does come with the trailer but the trailer could use some new tires. These would need to be changed if the boat was going to be trailered any considerable distance. I can be reached at 727-482-7858. Please text me. My name is Scott.Click image for larger version.

    The batteries took a charge. We got the boat started. I ran it on the trailer. We did have to shut it down though. I think that the water pump needs to be looked at it started to whine. We had good water flow. The boat has sat for a long time. That may have something to do with it.
    On Saturday I had a chance to look things over. I had not looked at or touched the boat since my Uncle passed away. The engine needs a good going through as well as the the little things. (i.e. guages, bilge pump, etc.) Check loose wires etc. But it appears that he finished installing everything. Call me if you have any questions.

    I'll post some more pics soon.
