I am downsizing my boat and noticed the 18" classic and the 20" Minx advertised locally.
I will be using the boat mostly on the rivers around the Cheasapeake Bay.
I have been a lurker on the Donzi forum for many years. Just been doing a lot of drooling over the Donzi's.

What are your thoughts on the below boats?

That orange 18 is an interesting boat.

Looks like a lot of money was spent on it. It has been for sale for a long time, perhaps the owner would be receptive to a reasonable bid. The windshield isn't original and neither is some of the styling or hardware, but it all looks well done.

Lots of different opinions on an 18 vs. the Minx (or a 22). I prefer the smaller Donzis for the fun factor, but if you boat in larger water, the Minx will "feel" a lot bigger. A lot depends on your preference, experience and how you will use the boat.

All the caveats apply for a 25 - 35 year old boat. Get a good mechanic or a surveyor to go through the boat for anything major.
And like any boat - there will always be things to spend money on.

If you've made it this far, you probably have a good idea of what you want. Still a buyer's market IMO - Go for it.
