Sunny and 45f here today, the ice is gone and the last little pile of snow is just about gone. Looking down the bay
from Providence is very inviting. It will be very soon here on Narragansett Bay. I can't freekin wait!!!

Oh what a difference 600 miles makes .
Despite normally getting the tail end of every system that wreaks havoc on the US east coast a few days later , we've had one of the mildest winters for many years.
And we just about put an end to the 4 year drought at the same time.
Foliage and plants that should not be budding/producing for another month have all come out 2 months early.

Right now it's a comfy 70f with a moderate (for us) humidity count of about 71%. Mind you it could all change in 2 days .

No boating in sight for a while though .
Just because something's old doesn't mean you throw it away !

Over a foot of ice on my lake still. Already changed the oil and drive oil tho. Installing a new depth gauge sensor, fuel sep, a good wax job and will be ready to go...whenever spring comes. Two years ago, I already had my boat in!

Yup! And lots of warm clothes! Thankfully I live just off Lake Oakland and I'd better be boating in April but this weather is just plain depressing. One 60* sunny day would sure lift a lot of spirits around here! (and melt a lot of ice!)

We are out of the woods now but it was a nasty Winter. The first picture is of the last day I was out on the water, December 22 last year. It was 71 degrees. The second picture is the ice choked river. Go figure.
