Different! Custom 1985 Donzi 21" walkaround

Found this boat rather interesting. Most likely a one-of-a-kind. Roy Farmer's old boat.

Looks like they took a Hornet II or III hull and made a modified St Tropez deck for it .

Very interesting that he would have chosen to do that . I wonder if it might just have been an I/O originally ?

maybe it's a 19 St Tropez and they call it 21' because of the engine bracket being 2' ??

would make sense that if it is an 85 the hornetIII was in production and it is 21 feet the side view looks to be longer than a St T. but it could be the picture angle or the bracket either way a great looking boat and if it is one of Roy's a neat piece of history

From what I read, Roy loved to fish in the keys.

Got lots of data on the boat. Was Roy Farmer's. Owner has the docs from when Roy sold it to the current owner's brother. Roy was their next door neighbor on Lower Matacumbe Key.

It is 21 foot hull. HIN DMR21001C585. The current owner, thought it was a Hornet hull. It was built as an outboard. Original name was "Happy Bottom" after Roy's wife Gladys.

New tank, gel, console, etc in 2000. Loads of other stuff in 2012. Well taken care of.

    That is all for now.

Great story on a one off boat the hornet II and III kept consecutive numbering so the 21 hornet III picked up where the 20 hornet II left off at hull 72

very neat 21 hull number 1 great looking boat
