    Woobs,

As an interesting aside, this is listed as a 1965. Who knows how accurate it is, BUT, the engine compartment has the PVC supports running front to back, like yours does. And no engine vents on the deck.

Also interesting is the hull Flag logos...

Did Canadian sold boats have this configuration?

The Red/White Maple Leaf "National flag of Canada" was adopted offically February 15, 1965. to replace the Union Jack (same configuration as Great Britain). It was a bit of a "big thing" up here but, if these decals were used at the Donzi factory at that time it would have been extremely current.

something to keep in mind the Shepard Donzi's made under contract by Shepard in Canada they may have had the Maple leaf decals .

Were the Shepherd Donzi production models the same as those made in Florida?
what do we know about their hull markings?
H*ll, what do we know about their production?

With a similar hatch configuration,(and different from known Florida production methods of the time) I'm thinking that this yellow boat and my boat may have similar origins. It's possible that over the years a Canadian boat found it's way to Conneticut...

From this letter to a Shepherd customer in Vermont, it may have been possible that many Canadian made Donzi's went to New England...

Just looking at another interesting feature...
The fender chock. While these are not factory in US boats, the one on this early boat is quite unique in design. This style is consistent with those used by Greavette (and AFAIK only Greavette) from the mid 60's to the early 70's. maybe just an addition by the first owner but certainly Canadian in origin.
