did you move to Naples? or did you sell it?
We moved to Naples in 2011 and finally brought her down. I hope the saltwater doesn't kill her. I have pulled the O/D's to have them refinished. I also think I want to pull the motors and put a fresh coat of paint on all the metal pieces.

The salt won't kill the boat as long as you chase the sale but the trailer is as good as deal. If you sell that nice trailer and buy an aluminum one now you may come out OK. If you wait till you dunk it (even once) it will be too late.
I am sure some may disagree.
I have far too many boats, just ask my Wife.
If you have something of great quality, and you take care of it, it will last forever.

By the way. Love your boat. How long have you had it?

Those Volvos , like the 200-270s , survive in salt very well . Especially if you trailer and then flush afterwards.
I'd be more inclined to hit the engines with a really good moisture displacing anti corrosion spray than paint.
Pretty , pretty boat .
Just because something's old doesn't mean you throw it away !
Thanks for the kind words.
It will live on a lift behind the house so the trailer may be ok. It has been welded shut and is pressurized to keep water out. All the wiring is encased in external PVC and has tubing to go through the frame. The brakes are electric over hydrolic drum... That worries me.
What kind of spray do you recommend? I removed the battery boxes and they are heading to the powder coater.

Beautiful Maltese! Diligent flushing works in my book and I like silicone spray to keep salt/salt air off metal. I would not put that trailer in the water, its too nice. I would pay to get the boat travel lifted into the water.

That hull looks fantastic. Nice to see another one being saved for sure. I think that Volvo made a product called "Salt Off" that you might want to explore to keep her in shape.
