Hello again my American Donzi friends. I haven´t been so much on the forum since summer 2011. Then i had some problem with the Imco -3 shorty and discussed the matter with you guys.Best that year was 92.5mph. with an old Mach stern 30" .2012 was a lost summer over here rain .rain .rain only had the boat in the water 2 times and did not achive anything even though i put a 1/2 spacer on the -3 and tested a new prop . For this season i found a very fine used Imco -2 at Boostpower with the 1.25 axle.Put the boat in water 2 days prior to the Shoot out. Had some problem with fuel preassure that i have had now and then with electric pumps in the boat. The fast cure was to put a Jeep canister on top of the pump(Aeromotive A100) Iknow that the pump are not designed to suck fuel out of the tank they are designed to be feed with fuel and then pusch it to the carb. Only had time for one test before put it on the trailer for the Race . Did 93.7 at a very nice run. Then did one run at the Shoot out 97.8 miles and was very pleased with that. The run felt very good. I updated my personal best in two runs with 5.3 miles and it seems that the setup with the-2 and the current prop is a step in the right direction. Me and my son won the class ,up to 24 feet. He was so exited. Now i´m fixing the fuel issue with a low connection on the tank. I have made an onboard camera bracket so i can monitor the instruments while running. Speed ,RPM etc. The Boat will be in water soon and i will keep you informed about the development (if any). I found some inspiration again much thank´s to my son thats pushing me Regards from sweden
