    Fuel system questions

With the engine swap I'm doing, I need to change the fuel system and add a return line. I am running an Aeromotive 1000 fuel pump after the filter. Is there any reason I can't run my return fuel line to the secondary filter inlet instead of the tank? This is the way Merc did it the stock 496HO.

I also had to ditch the stock fuel cool system because the lines were too small. I have a spare oil cooler (pictured below), that I'd like to use as a fuel cooler. Any reason I shouldn't do this?

There is absolutely no reason not to pipe back into the system aft, some argue that a tank return allows the fuel time to cool it is obvious you have that covered.

I have a fuel cooler off my 502 mag mpi that I could part with. Part number is now 807950A1. If the one you have doesn't work.

Bob, I appreciate the offer but I have a merc cooler already. The stock ones won't flow enough fuel for my needs
