Seat mounting Minx

Looking to replace the slides on my Minx seats. There is three phillips head screws holding the aluminum plate to the molded in cockpit pod or riser. Are these screws through bolted with nuts or is there some type of plate glassed in that they thread into?

Im just got my minx seat reupholstered and they didnt come w seat slides or swivels, what is the preferred brand and make?

The bottoms of the sliders are thru bolted to the pedestal.

When my sliders loosened up. I was able to get my arm under the floor and get a wrench on the nuts.

Mr. Carter had a slick way to "mount" nuts under the pedestal all from the top.

I am sure he will chime in.

When you got your arm in there, were you going through the locker in the floor, or from the engine compartment?

Here ya go, this is what I did.........
Ya have to drill out those countersunk screw heads unless you can get your hand underneath......but if you could do that, you wouldn't be asking the question!

I came up w/this method because, at the time, I wasn't planning on pulling the deck.
The 4" hole doesn't reduce the strength of the pedestal at all since it's centered in the neutral axis of the top flange. The only complaint I have is the large 3/8" Tee nuts aren't available in SST. I did primer them berfore installation though.
The best new sliders are Garelick.

There's another method of mounting them without drilling a 4" hole in the center, it's time consuming but does work.

i just did it in my 18.

you can get the old ones out and the nuts fall off the bottom, take a drill and slightly hog out the exiting holes, get new bolt drill a small hole in the side of the bolt and one from the top, thread a piece of picture wire through the bolt then fish a wire trough hole tape to picture wire carefully pull wire and bolt up from the bottom double nut when thightening the nut from above, yes pita but does work, whichever method good luck.

Yes, those will work if you can get the prongs to penetrate the 'glass on the bottom of the pedestal, sometimes it's hard to do.
That's why I used the flanged Tee nuts and retained them w/screws..
