    Decoding Serial Numbers

Posted this on the other site at well but I thought I would ask here as well. I did a search and found some information but please excuse me if this has been covered in depth before.

The serial number of my Donzi is DNAC 2006 K 394. So what does that information actually tell me? Colour? Power train? Etc. Etc.?

Can someone explain what the letters and the numbers mean? I am curious about the "K" and what it means.

Any help would be appreciated as always.

Hope this is a great boating season, it is starting to shape up to be a good one.

The first 3 letters are the MIC mfg'rs identification code. DNA is donzi marine under amh ownership

C2 is the model. 22 classic

006 is the hull number for that year

K3. Is the date the boat was certified
    Oct of 93

    94. Is the model year

    Truly appreciated Mattyboy.

So I assume that it was manufactured in October of 1993 and sold as a 1994 model? Or does certification have another meaning?

yes made in the fall of 93 as a 94 model, they used the alphabet for the months and supposedly they didn't use I as it looked like a 1 . in this vintage they also restarted the tally in each year instead of a true total
