    Post-Lake Powell Challenge

farmerTX and I just recently attended the Lake Powell Challenge Poker Run. We had a blast. I think the final boat count was 57 with quite a few big boats for Powell. In attendence was a Donzi 43ZR with 700's, F-4 Sunsation with 1075's, 30+' DCB with Teague 1025's, 30+' Scarrab with 575's, and quite a few other Fountain and West Coast boats. We spent 3 nights at the marina and rented a very reasonably priced 4-bedroom, 70' house boat w/hot-tub in the slip. farmerTX won the top wildcard poker hand, winning two VIP tickets to on of the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction. It was a great weekend and the folks at Antelope Point Marina did a wonderful job of hosting the poker run in it's third year.

How about some more Donzi folks at this event next year??

nice pics , beautiful boating scenery, I love the SE in black
When the sky is grey, look out to sea.
When the waves are high and the light is dying,
well raise a glass and think of me...
    When I'm home again,
    boys, I'll be buying!

I should have more pictures once I get the dvd. The helicopter really seemed to like the little Donzis and followed us for quite a while.

George, maybe next year? We paid $640/night for the houseboat after taxes and the boat has 4 bedrooms & 2 sleeper couches, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen & a hot tub. We we're connected to shore power the whole time so no fuel required. It was just like a hotel room on the docks.

Here's a couple of videos to sweeten the pot for folks to come out next year. These are from us cruising into Antelope Canyon, one of the smaller side canyon near the marina. A lot of the slot canyon pictures you see from Powell are taken from the foot trail in Antelope Canyon.

    Lake Powell

    Great pictures RickS-E!

Love this place! We celebrated my Mom and Dad's 40th wedding anniversary there a few years ago. Would love to get back someday.

    Buizilla,

$15 & they send you a dvd of the entire photo shoot from the helicopter. These were just our pictures so I'll try to post some of the other cool boats soon.

    SanDogDewey,

Nice camp. We've been boating here for 15-years and just love it.
