I am getting ready to install my new gas tank and can't remember if there were rubber spacers between the tank and the hull or if the foam will insulate it. Can anyone help?

I usually put a few small blocks of foam to support it, it is very important to put some bracing across the top. The foam will push the tank up well above where you want it!!!!!!
Also do the foam in small batches, have no fear it is a very tenacious glue and supportive material. It will force it's self into every nook and cranny!!!

Somewhere recently (in George's testarossa thread, or another one, or both) there was a bunch of discussion about this, how to do the bracing MOP mentioned, how to mix the foam, how much to use, the amount of expansion, different foams, etc.
I just can't remember exactly where it's hiding.
