Scott, Tammy, Matty, Marie, Brad, Amy-

BIG THANKS for all your hard work. I can't tell you how much I enjoy the Dust-offs - this was my 7th. My appreciation of the Lake, the boats and the people goes up every year. Thanks for working so hard so we can PLAY!

Matty - by my count, you are owed 4 Dust-offs: good luck w/ the boat. Can't wait to see you back on the water.

Dang, Jay, that is a pretty dominant trivia score!
Not to mention you probably had some formidable competition, too. (aka MV)

Tell me, though, would not your '67 Ski Sporter be the oldest classic?

    Tony

maybe i can add some info on Jay's behalf

I am excluded from the trivia I make up the quiz. About judging the awards, a boat can only win some categories once. The Judges have the past records and know what awards have been won. Jay's boat has won the oldest award and most original I believe so it can't win those awards again. Just as my 16 was awarded oldest in 2002 so in 2003 my boat was not judged in that category. There are some awards that can be won multiple times people's choice and longest tow and possibly best modification but not for the same modification example one year a boat comes with a 525 and external steering then the next year it has an arneson and rocker plates.

but now i digress there are other judging guide lines the club follows as well timelines and such.

Jay did an awesome job on the quiz which is more meant to be informational than a competition. I hope that was accomplished this year the test actually went interactive. On a side note the wi fi took a big hit with all the smart phones searching for answers LOL

Jay and Tony should like this pic was an awesome weekend and the weather was outstanding

Funny Jay, Marie and I had that converstaion on the way home boatless dustoffs my numbers are growing. Your welcome Jay I enjoy helping the event, it re-kindles the fire when i see people get excited about their boats and their history. I will be doing a review of the event and there were some great stories there, the sweet 16 present was high on the list.

The quiz was really a team effort. The whole table contributed. While we did receive some <cough> online aide, we really didn't need it. The biggest contributor to our success was Matty's own classic history tutorial which appears on another site. I have pretty much internalized it and can recite from memory.

Next year if the pattern holds, Paul Chase will win!

Tony - next year I will fly to AOTH and split the gas if you come to LG............

Matty, thanks for the explanation. I should have figured that out...it does make sense as it allows for more boats being recognized.

Jay, I am intent on making it to one of the Lake George events. The chances of this happening have increased slightly, since Cherrie and I are now officially retired. Your boat looks great, by the way, I hope to see it in person soon!
