    Muskoka Lakes Weekend 2012

    Hi Everyone,

We're planning another Muskoka Lakes weekend on Saturday, July 28th & Sunday, July 29th.,2012.

Last year's itinerary was as follows: Saturday- Lake Muskoka- tour led by Fred & Debbie Clarke.
Sunday- Lake Rosseau & Lake Joseph- tour led by Jason(RudeBuoy).

The Muskoka Lakes offer some of the most picturesque boating in Ontario and we'll probably follow the same schedule as last year.

A group of us stayed at the Bala Hy Motel in Bala. It's a small Mom & Pop operation with about 10-12 rooms. The rooms are small but spotlessly clean, has lots of parking for trucks and trailers, and is within walking distance of restaurants. At noon today they only had 3 or 4 rooms left for the Saturday night. Alternate accomodation can be had in Port Carling at the Crestwood Inn but truck and trailer parking is limited. Restaurants are also within walking distance.

I recommend that you book early because motels fill up early in the summer season.

I can be reached at 705-689-0202 or davidmc.1020@hotmail.com if you have any questions

    Hi Norm,

    So far... Fred & Debbie,Tim & Cindy, Don & Carol, possibly Dave & Nora, Pam & I.

I don't know how to contact Craig Skilling or Jason(Rude Buoy). Hopefully they will see the posting.

On the Sunday last year we picked up a couple of Donzis that we saw along the way.

If you want to stay at the Bala Hy... better book early.

    Muskoka Lakes Weekend 2012

Remote possibility I may come up if I can stay at my cousins place up there. The boat needs the lower end rebuillt which 3 weeks out at this point unless I find a lower end for a blackhawk.

Thought I'd be "in" there for a minute...

I have to pick my son up from camp (Skeleton Lake) on Saturday morning and take him back to the city.

    Missed it by "that much"...
