My fuel pump went out on me and had to get the dreaded tow back to the ramp, so before I go and order one is/are there any that are recommended over others that I should get? Also where to order for best price? Any info will help..

A marine pump will have a drain port that is connected to a tube that leads to the carburator.
summit should have them at a fair price.
