Fixx: Will stick to original Renault/Mercruiser 80hp and Mercruiser crank outdrive if they can be revived.

Scott/Matty: Thanks! I will keep you posted. I also have some questions for you both re sourcing:
    • Original hatch hardware - hinges, pull handle,
    • Custom rub rail on stern - Scott I think you mentioned you have a source for these?,
    • Toggle switch for bilge pump,
    • Pull switches for lights and blower,
    • Teleflex chrome steering bezel,
    • Info on determining original colour codes for gel - plus period-correct logo and script measurements

I am seriously considering an all white hull with red deck and boot stripe. I already have a red hull Hornet and I think I prefer a single deck/hull colour with contrasting stripes.

Matty: I hear you on the screws. Someone tried to secure the deck that way. Luckily, I have found a seriously talented glass guy.

the toggle switch or the faceplate for the bilge pump?

here are the push pull switches you just have to find the right model off/on or off/on 1/ on 1&2

fixx yes that would work, that is the correct knob

the early red was called lucan red, as with all color names from donzi at that time except wonder white the colors had something to do with Don and his racing friends. Lucan red, christina blue, and grumble green. I am not sure that was the actual name from the supplier which would have been ferro or minkote (sp)

Rob, I was thinking. Have a contest!
GUESS HOW MANY SNAPS ON ROBS BOAT
Did it come with the cover? If it did, that's probably why the boat survived, it had a tight fitting cover on it for thirty years.
    Cool boat for sure!!
