    Bilge coat alternatives?

as the title says . . I couldn't find it in a search, isn't there another product that folks have used from Sherwin Williams ? for bilge paint .. I desire something brushable and or roll applicable

I used the Bilgecoat on my Donzi and didn't like the coverage and or bonding . . .

Mario, I use Rustoleum Professional Oil-base in my bilges. Works great. Bought at Lowes, HD, etc.

Get any color you want of rust-oleum at Home Depot (just bought a gallon for 30 bucks). And add a can of the stuff (14 bucks) and you will be all set.

follow the directions and just don't spray it unless you have the proper equipment or it just may kill you. lol

I'm suprised you didn't like the Interlux Bilgekote. I recently did my engine bay walls and the forward anchor locker and was very happy with it? Except the cost.lol

In my opinion Imron 555-U using just Activator is the best product out there , and very easy to use............. apply tack coat by brush wait 15 minutes apply 2 more coats one coat every 15 minutes and one more if desired , and to tell you the truth i think Parn , also uses Imron .

Fixx , i think we all have went thru this on this forum more then once ,and to tell you the truth between you and i .......who cares , and the reason being is............. whenever i do a boat it usally is a customer's preference on just what they want to use and most want , Imron , or Awlgrip and if they want a cheaper product so be it .

Fixx, there you go again .......................who cares means just what it means...... come on .......you seem to forget this is a public forum and if someone wants to use Sears weather beater in there bilge ......SO BE IT, and once again WHO CARES because this subject on what to use and not to use often becomes somewhat heated as you have already demonstrated considering 99% of the time Bilge paint is a matter of personal prefence, and just how much a person is willing or wants to $ pay for a product so Fixx .....i would really appreciate that in the near future you would TRY to quit using me for your daily Rant AND NOBODY IS TRYING TO START A FIGHT HERE OTHER THEN YOU . I used gray bilge kote on the 16 , and a white PPG with a roll/tip( i think that's what it is called) hardener on the hornet I was happy with both results

Okay, so just to get it straight the options are...

    Interlux Bilgekote
    Sherwin Williams Hi-Solids Polyurethane / S-W hardener
    Rustoleum Professional
    Rustoleum w/Valspar enamel hardener
    Rustoleum 9100 system
    Imeron 555 / activator
    PPG

    Not bad after 14 posts....
