hi guys i need some info on a merc transom plate for my 18 classic. i have a 1980 merc one drive .the drive looks good but the trasnsom ass. is pretty pitted. i want to replace it but want to use my drive for now. is a alfa one gen one conpatible or an alfa one gen two. ive been told yes but thought id ask the experts please help. also if anyone has one for sale id bee interested thank you for your time

The Alpha Gen 1 is compatible, the Gen 2 isn't easily.
