    identify this head

OK, I can't figure this out...

SBC, from a Crusader motor, center valve cover bolt, non-vortec

Casting # looks like 14088217, but I can't find that anywhere. The closest I can find is 14096217 which comes up as 1.94/1.50, 64cc crate head.

I suppose it's possible what I'm seeing as '88' is actually '96' since the casting isn't super sharp, but it sure LOOKS like '88'

That exhaust valve in 3 or 6 which ever it was is looking a little far from home as well. These heads are pre vortec, 64cc head as staited. If I recall same as 083 casting. The 882, 624, were some of the last perimeter bolt valve covers then came along these late in 86, 1987 till around 1996.

Buiz - I have no idea. I don't know what these are from. We're getting ready to close one of our offices and I'm going through all the old stuff and found these (among a lot of other stuff). No sign of any other small block stuff, so I guess the rest of the motor was put back together!

These heads were cast as 14096217, 141011083 and 14011083. These heads are sold under gm part# 12356026 they are basically L82 Corvette heads with the early lt1 springs and 1.94 intake and 1.5 exhaust valves. The combustion volume is 64cc. These heads are sould as service replacement heads and come on the 300hp 350ci motors. Usually sell for 325/head.
