    38' Cigarette Top Gun

Well, now I really stepped over the edge. I guess I looked at too many of these so I finally did the deed. He is also sending two 1300HP Huber trannies along with racing engine mounts that bolt in between the stringers. This one will be receiving the engines out of my 36' along with a III speedmaster drive that I have in stock so I will be selling the 36' without power for very little in the near future. Another project! Bill

Wow, Bill, I can't even keep up with your fleet list. That gun looks really great, I love the simple paint scheme. Can't wait to see the motors go in.

    Congrats!

Thanks guys for not calling me nuts - lol. Actually thank you for the votes of approval. It seemed like a good way to make a fairly nice boat out of what I had. The relatively clean Kevlar hull, external steering, III speedmaster drives, and fairly new triple axle aluminum trailer were just too much bait for my boating weakness. I think it will work out well, but it will be a while before I can tackle the work. Onwards, Bill

PS The man who is selling it bought it for the 1100HP engines that were in it for his other Cigarette so this deal is working out for both of us.

I am fairly certain that boat came from the Cincinnati area. The guy lived in northern Kentucky. If I remember correctly it was called "Bounty Hunter." He had it on craigslist for a while.

The last time I remember seeing it out on the river was back in 2001-2ish.... Cool boat. I think my cousins husband did the interior in it a long time ago....

    Nice find!

-----Nice going, Bill!!!!! For once a Cig with good looking graphics. I get so tired of all the crazy stuff. And, you are correct, it seems like that boat was calling out to you. It doesnt look like it needs anything you dont have. Careful towing it as it will have a bunch of tongue weight without the motors.......Bill S

Thanks for the Bounty Hunter history. It is a US Coast Guard documented boat with the present name of Fox Hunter. It sounds like a simple thing to get it registered in my name, and I will probably register a different name to keep the peace with Deanna - lol.
Bill, that is a good point about the tongue weight. I will probably be trying U-ship again since I don't like pulling these long and heavy boats any farther than around here. My 1996 GMC 1 ton dually only has the gas 454 Vortec when I think a diesel is really needed. Thanks, Bill

    Mike,
Thanks for the shipping and seat tips. At this point, I will be waiting to get the green light from the seller who is also going to throw on a better set of ST tires and bolt the parts in the engine compartment for shipment. Bill

    Cguth,
I just now realized who you are - Clayton. Did you ever get the Aero going? Thanks for offering the dually - even if you don't have it anymore - lol. The seller just wrote today that he deposited my check so it will be coming down fairly soon. He has been a great guy to deal with - a real straight shooter. Bill
