Im looking into new pedistools and seat bases. Does anyone know the measurement from the floor to the bottom edge of the seat in an 18 classic? Im over 6'3" and want to make sure im not sitting too high in her

    Hi Buddyc,
My boat is a 1972 18c and the measurement from the cockpit floor (without carpet) to the bottom of the front edge of the seat is just under 6 1/2".
    Hope this helps.

Cut my post off in the 16, If I recall there is 1/4" of space btween the seat mount and the top of the base where the post goes in the base. I have to pull some covers to get floor to seat measurement. This is as low as I could go, It gives a little more of an inside boat feeling as opposed to riding on top at 80+.

Thanks guys. I think I .may built a box like the later model boats and attach the track and seat to that.
