    skisporter model

some of you may have seen pics of this. Paul is a valued member of the LGDCC his insight and generousity made it possible to have Walt Walters at our 2010 dustoff.
Paul has also worked hard to have the history of the boats we love preserved for future generations with his work with the musuems. He commisioned the model then donated it to the museum for Walt's display .

    nice job Paul!

    Awesome!

I've seen pictures of this model but didn't know the whole story. I'm not surprised to learn that Paul was involved in something as cool as this.

Was thinking I should order one when I got to the part about taking over 2000 hours to build. Might be cheaper just to get another boat!

Thanks for posting, Matty. And thanks to Paul for making it happen.

    Jay,Tony

I figured this would hit especially close to home with you guys

My daughter is up at mystic seaport all the time not sure she has ever been to the museum but is at the aquarium all the time. I will have to have her go by and take a look and snap some pics of the exhibit. I know the next time we go up to see her I am going to have to go there.

Jay yes think about the time spent on that model our boats were built in two weeks basically 80hrs the factory at that point was turning out 10 boats in two weeks. the craftsmanship, detail and effort put in to this just mind blowing.

Here are a couple of pics the model
It appeared in our newsletter in a story about the sweet 16 returning to the donzi line up. The name sweet 16 was given to the boat by OMC when it rejoined the line up in 1990
