    WTB: windshield for 82 classic 18 2+3

I haven't even got the boat yet...
But I hear windshields for c18's are pretty scarce, so If you happen to find one sing out please.

    Cheers,
    Sean

Heck....he's in MI just make a trip out of it. Personally I love the windshield look on 18/22's. Even though the screen does not do much, I love the look.Click image for larger version.

    Yep, not too far away...

I love the look also, but I think there's a better chance of less complaints from "She who must be obeyed" if I have a windscreen

    woobs,
Have you tried Acrylico in Florida? Maybe even stub your windshield to give it a custom look.

How about adapting this to your 18? It may work really well if you want a little something different..........

    Hi Greg,
Good suggestions...but I'm a wee bit too conservative for less traditional solutions.

I did get an e-mail back from Taylor Made....we'll see.

I would give Acrylico a try, they can build it "per OEM spec" if Taylor does not work out.

    Okay,

Here's the scoop from my Taylor Made Systems e-mail...
If anyone has an 18 with a windshield they can measure it would help!

Taylor Made may be able to custom make a replacement windshield using Plexiglas with an aluminum frame. However,we will need additional information from you.

    1. We need estimated dimensions of the original windshield (see attached drawing sketch showing the dimensions we require). If you can ship us the original windshield or what’s left of it, we may be able to use that for dimensional purposes. We will also need a cut out template of the crown shown on the front bottom of the windshield.

    2. Along with the dimensions above,we will need to get a full sized deck traced pattern of the deck landing where the original windshield is mounted. This can be done using paper, plastic or cardboard and can be mailed to the address below. The traced pattern should be marked to show the width of the center opening section and also where the side panel wings start and end.

    3. If possible forward some additional photos of the boat and original windshield or what's left of it? This will help us better understand the style windshield when it comes to the point of fabricating one.

    4. Also send a printed copy of this e-mail.

A custom windshield replacement will run about $1500 - $2500 and will take up to 12 weeks to fabricate once it is quoted and the order is placed.
