What's Best Source For Merc Hi-Per Gear Lube?

I'm sick of getting ripped off by the only local boat store that sells it. Who has the best mail order price? (please don't turn into a debate on best oil to use ).

Wal mart carries it... for a twin engine setup it's hard to find enough because they tend to only stock a few quarts per store so I just look for it any time I am in the marine section and buy a couple quarts at a time.

I don't usually go to WallyWorld but I will check there. It seems odd that they would carry the high performance lube that a lot of boat dealers around here don't even stock.

Carl mail order does not pay due to the shipping, local will still be your best bet.

Is the stuff at Walmart the good stuff though? It's Quicksilver HP Lube not Mercury Racing HP Lube, at least at my Walmart.

    wholesalemarine.com

They have both the QS high performance and the QS premium, ships the next day.

I'm not sure if is saves much money?

When I bought my boat with a 502...I knew the care and feeding wouldn't be cheap, confimed the first day at the pump, 94 oct no ethanal, $4.45 gal. after that the oil and gear lube seams like a bargain!!!!

You need to buy a case of 6, but this is by far the best deal I could find. THe qty says 1, but you need to order 6 to get that price. They will cancel on you if the increment is not correct.

The warehouse this comes from is Land & Sea on Maplehurst in Clinton Twp. You can request to pick up at their will call and your shipping (you have to pay up front) will be refunded.

They also have great pricing on the oil and filters (and all Merc parts) as well, but similar bulk rules apply to the oils.

    Here are the semi-synthetic oils.

Mercury is what they sell at dealers.

Quicksilver is what they sell at stores.

Same exact stuff, different name and sometimes different color bottles.

My bud buys it in the 5 gal bucket, I think it works out to be around $7-8/qt. I just buy a gallon off him.

I find that Amazon.com alway has the lowest price for Internet stores.
Most times you can get free shipping . Also the Amazon Prime can be well worth it's weight in gold if you do a lot of Internet purchases.

    What dealer?

Or do you mean dealer cost is $6.80?
