    Someone take boat from me....

My boat has just got to go. I have another boat I am looking into and can only go forward if I sell my current boat.

13' Mini Hawk fully restored....first $3,000 takes it....trailer and papers for both boat/trailer.

    Thanks

    Sam

    Need it gone this weekend.

Hey, Sam. Is this the boat that was "liberated" a while back? What are you going to buy?

Impressed by the owner of this boat.

I belive this is the boat and the owner. Have seen quite a few cool comments by this fellow Sam Bartels on screamandfly.com . He there uses the

signature 'DryMartini'. If I've guessed right, then this is a link to the ad on craigslist; http://longisland.craigslist.org/boa/2579303298.html

Sam is only 16, but don't let the age fool You, he already has restored a nice classic dinghy at the age 13 and then followed that up with a 1963 13' Whaler.

This is his latest resto, a Mini Hawk 13 and I look forward to see him doing a 21 Superboat next. If I lived on the east coast I'd buy this little boat from

him just to have the pleasure in meeting this great youngster. My wife and I just talked about how young people don't seem to take iniative as naturally as

when we were young, but this young Don Aronow fan sure is proving us wrong. I hope Sam starts a boat building company one day and not end up on Wall

Street like so many other bright kids do in New York. Take a look at a couple of his self created web sites documenting his boat restorations.

P.S. Sam I do hope You live up to Your reputation and show the guys here on donzi.net Your web skills and provide Us with some more photos of Your Mini

    Famous Mini Hawk...

    Biggiefl,

You'll have to hit up Johnny, signature fastfun2, he owns her. Betty Cook was related to him if I don't remember wrong. Maybe his aunt?

I agree. Sam took some crap on OSO where the big boys can get nasty but I think he'd find the people here a little more friendly as long as he doesn't try to BS the board! Sam, why did you put the boat here? You gettin' a Donzi?

He HAS to be a great kid if he restored a Whaler...I have done 23.

When those came out(84-85?) every kid wanted one by me. I begged my Father to let me put the 35 on one as the dealer would give me an even trade for my 13' Whaler...forgetaboutit! My friend had one about 15 years ago with a 48 spl...thing was sick and unstable to say the least but the grins were worth it. I think he sold it for like $1800 and I was pee'd to say the least. I saw it about 4 years later for sale with blown engine and in rough shape...sad. He wanted $600 and I passed as it needed everything and major structural work. I don't think I have seen one since, they are pretty rare, especially in FL. Now if I want a Mercury Mouse....dime a dozen since I am so close to Disney. Not the same but cool. I doubt my 235lb butt would fit in either these days.

Good Luck Sam and keep us posted.
