    One last "dumb" question...I hope.

On my 94 22' SS windshield just port of dead center on top underneath the frame is a round knob thingie about the size of a quarter. What is this? Attach a rearview mirror? If it was dead center I would think something for a stanchion but it is off by an inch or 2 to port I believe. If nobody has this then I will uncover and take a pic but it kinda looks OEM and quality. It goes through the plexi and looks like it might "unscrew'.

Some time around your boat's build date, Donzi mounted the glass in rubber and needed this piece to locate the glass from moving up and down or side to side.
My TR's windshield was cemented into place and didn't need it.
My plan is to have the SST "tab" welded to the top frame member so I'll be able to mount the new glass in rubber.

Yes there is a rubber seal around the "glass".

My boat was finished in December of 1993...might have been after a X-Mas party and too much eggnog. Most people don't even notice it but I was curious, especially why it is off center. I will measure it this weekend and see how far off.
