    Cockpit carpet advice.

I just bought my 1994 22C a month ago. I do like the natural flooring but it is louder, hotter and tougher on your feet than carpet. You feel/hear the engine much more than carpeting or due to design with no full cabin it is going to sound the same? I live down the road from Donzi and have considered a new one from them but not sure I want to pony up $480 right now. I called a member here who makes them and he was the same price with shipping. I am going to post a WTB for a used one but how many people sell their carpets? What other options have people done here? Was it a big deal to make your own or after cost, why bother, etc. How does red hold up, does it turn pink or orange in a year? I see most red boats have gray carpets which looks fine to me, black would be too hot in FL and off white...had that in my Baja...no way.

Member knots2you used to do interiors for Donzi's. He still does carpets and does them very well.
He did one for the Minx and he'll be doing the carpet for the TR.

IMO....lose the carpet. Had it years ago....wasn't worth the trouble.

Throw a towel down if it's that hot!

And for 500 bucks...Get the F... outta here!

I bought red bathroom carpet runners with the rubber backs,,, they fit like a glove and cost 12 bucks. My origional carpet is stored in a bag, its in new condition butt way too pretty for it to stay in the boat IMO
