    Pluses and minuses...

    It's been done....

Plus side. You get integrated steering and a little cleaner water to the prop.

Minus side. I doubt you would see much of a change in the way the boat runs with stock power under the hatch

I've only seen pictures of them.....
But they look big and heavy to me. You know, a lot bigger than the Volvo version of the same thing.

Not looking for performance gains. Looking more for the integrated steering. May upgrade power someday.

The ITS is a very clean installation. If you are looking for steering only, and can buy one at a good price, it would be a nice addition.

Keep in mind that it isn't just the transom system parts-wise. There are pieces for the Bravo to mate up to this stuff, so make sure you are getting everything you need. Post pics if you do it.

My gimbal ring is shot and someday I will need a new transom I am sure so this is what got me thinking ITS. Lots of work to do back there anyhow so.....

Does the setback change the handling much?

Mr X is the only one that I know of that has done this. You might reach out to him to get his real world impressions. Again, I can't imagine it would have much of an effect on a stocker, but it could.

No question Ted would have great input! Just thought, add a new transom assembly to the cost of dual hydraulic steering. How much more would the ITS cost, that plus any possible gain and cool factor would be sweet!

It has been done on a GT21 and the owner loves it.
I dont think there is a downside

I thought that one of the downsides is the quick steering ratio. The short rams on a small LOA boat make the steering a little sensitive.

A lower volume helm should help.
