Donzi 35ZR - Props to Use?

I have a 2005 Donzi 35ZR with a set of 525's & 32P props. It had a 1" spacer when I got it & was really sluggish coming out of the hole. Top end was 88 MPH. I elected to put a 2" spacer in the outdrives and it did a world of good. I ran 89.6 MPH with a great whole shot, but the engines were running right at the Rev Limiters of 5,500 RPM. I talked with Herring & they furnished me a set of 5-Blade 31P props. These dropped the speed to 86 MPH at 5,100 RPMs.

I would like to see if anyone has been down this road & has a suggestion. I would like to see the 35ZR run mid-nineties if possible without going into the engines.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Were your original 32P props 3 or 5 blade? AFAIK and understand the more blades the more drag, and a 5 blade is more of a surfacing prop.
You have added spacers and now have a great hole shot . Achieving top speed and a quick hole shot with a boat of this size might be difficult.

I suggest talking to Brett at BBLades or the folks at Hydromotive . .

Thanks for the in formation. The original props were four blade running 89 MPH at 5,400 RPM. I talked to Herring in regard to picking up some top end. Since then I talked to Mercury & they suggested getting rid of the spacer - This would pick up the top end, but scrifice the hole shot.

Thanks again for the reply - I'll try the folks you suggested also.
