There has never been a Holman Moody factory powered sweet 16 EVER.

the original 16 skisporter produced 1964 to 1980 were powered by:

ford 289 interceptors in the very early years than Holman Moody 289 and 302 then 351 fords late 60's to early 70's til around the 71 72 years when chevy small block 350 became more the standard. by 75 Holman Moody was pretty much out as a option for power in a donzi. some exceptions like the volvo 4 cyl and waukesha motors did come by occasionally.

the sweet 16 produced 1990 into the mid 2000's were powered by OMC 4.3 , ford 302 351, merc 4.3 and 5.0 5.7 litres some volvo powered boats also exist but they are the same basic motors as Volvo used ford and then chevy based motors. the early 90's marked the exit of fords as power.

    hope that helps
