    22C stock prop?

1994 w/Merc 330 Bravo? Does a 21p Mirage sound right? Should we expect 4800rpm out of that?

What if the motor was supposedly rebuilt with large rects, high-rise manifold, Holley 750 and Comp Cams marine cam?

I'd expect that engine to be at least as strong as a 454MAG, and be able to turn that 21p past 5000rpm right?

So if somebody just threw a Holley and "maybe" a cam on a 330, we'd probably see around 5000rpm with a 21p?
    Thanks,
    Michael

23 with the 330, or with the supposed mods?

I saw 21p on the prop, and barely 5k on the tach...sumthin' ain't right.
    Thanks,
    Michael

my 330 with a cam turned 4800 using a TRS which sucks power like Brittany Spears... a strong 385 would need at least a 24 using a Bravo, a 415/425 uses a 25 with a Bravo

    IOW, you ain't got a 385, more like a 285

    I am making about 370+hp and swing a 23 4B turning 5K and 65.5, try to borrow a 23 3B for starting point. Pretty sure the stock wheel for a 330 22 was a 21. Phil

    Wink

I had the same motor in my 96 22C. gen 6, flat top pistons, roller mag cam, rectangle port alum intake (merc ) retangle port 454/502 iron heads. It turned a stock cast hub 23 P mirage 4600 and pushed the boat 66 mph. You may see 4800 or tad more with the 21 P mirage. The 23 P mirage will give you a higher cruise mph. The 23 P mirage was the stock prop for the 22C with the 7.4 mag motor.

As stated invest in a GPS as your tach could be off. Get accurate speed numbers then you can do the math.
